Know more about ISCON

What drive us

The cornerstone of our progress in scientific frontiers is systematic research. Through it, we are able to advance our knowledge and expertise like never before. The advancements in computing and a exponential increase in the amount of data have placed a huge responsibility on statistical sciences to be transparent and accurate. Now, statisticians has a crucial role to play in the development of 'good scientific practices' for the larger benefit of society.

Statistics is a powerful tool for describing, summarising, and deriving inferences from the data. But at the same time, it has been used inappropriately for publishing research with inaccurate methodologies, poor-quality reporting and misleading conclusions. Many businesses and organisations make decisions based on these unreliable research findings, which is detrimental to our society and ultimately damages people's trust in the scientific research. Prof Doug Altman, eminent statistician from the University of Oxford rightly said in the Editorial of ‘The Scandal of Poor Medical Research (1994) that-

"We need to focus on less yet better scientific research, which should be performed for the right reasons

In this spirit, Dr Chetan Prajapati laid the foundation of ISCON-Statistics based on two core principles of ethical statistical practice-

Correct application of statistical methods

Transparent & accurate reporting of statistical results

At ISCON Statistics, we ardently follow both these principles to deliver precise and quality results. Our expertise in statistical and scientific methodology enables us to perform comprehensive, in-depth, and accurate statistical analysis of the provided data. In turn, this helps you achieve high-quality and reproducible research results, enabling you to make logical and informed decisions.

Meet the Founder

Dr Chetan Prajapati

Dr Chetan Prajapati is professional statistician and epidemiologist, founder of ISCON Statistics. He holds master of statistics (with specialisation in Genetic Epidemiology) from the renownedUniversity of Leicester. He is also John Brookes Scholar of theOxford Brookes University. During his time withBristol Medical School, University of Bristol, he designed and analysed multiple hospital-based research studies including design, conduct and analyses of randomised control trial. Prior to University of Bristol, he worked as Medical Statistician atthe Centre for the Prevention of Stroke and Dementia at the University of Oxford, where he worked with Prof Rothwell on all statistical aspects of Oxford Vascular (OXVASC) study, includes the management and analyses of clinical trials data. He is also was visiting researcher atKarolinska Institute, Department of Clinical Epidemiology, Swedenwhere he leading the analysis of clinical and litigation data to understanding link between adverse pregnancy outcomes and litigation cost. During his career, he gained hands-on experience in the application of all three methods statistical inferences – Bayesian, frequentist and likelihood in real-world settings. He foundedISCON Statisticswith vision to provide responsive, ethical, and accessible statistical services to businesses, organisations and individuals.

As a passionate statistician, Dr Chetan aspires to explore innovative statistical methodologies for different types of data to provide more precise and reproducible results. As a mix of both, theoretical and applied Statistician, Dr Chetan thrive to explore and apply novel statistical methods to data of various types. Recently, he implemented multi-variate Vector Auto-regression (VAR) economic models in clinical data in to find a relationship between two time series. His research interest are clinical trials design, survival analysis, mixed models, monte-carlo simulation and analysis of data-set with statistical complexities (i.e. with missing data, sparse or unbalanced).

With his years of experience in statistical analysis and research, Chetan Prajapati enjoys strong command over a variety of statistical tools and software. He is proficient inR statistical softwareand also has experience in using other software –STATA, SPSS, WinBugs, StatXact, MLWin. His in-depth knowledge of statistical methods also enables him to explain and present research analysis in a simple and comprehensible way.
